Humanitarian Response

RIR aims at reaching timely to save lives and assets of the people during emergencies and disasters. It provides socio economic and psychological support including: Lifesaving support; first aid; provision of food & non-food items; RIR helps communities in rehabilitation and early recovery through agricultural support, water supply, sanitation, shelter and healthcare etc.

RIR focusses more on women, children, elderly and people with disabilities as they are always found the most vulnerable.

4,700 severely flood affected families were provided with food items (1,465 tons) for several months along with 8,000 packages of NFIs (during recovery phase, flood 2010).

12,565 persons helped to ensure food security during drought, floods, internal displacement including earthquake 2015.

1,330 small farmers assisted through agricultural support to ensure food security.

In collaboration with rescue 1122 provided lifesaving support to 18,000 people; 1500 animals saved while collectively 14,000 people (largely women and children) benefitted through first aid, water purification and, medical camps along with medicines during flood emergency

COVID-19 Response

  • Distribution of monthly Ration among 2000 families.
  • Soap & hygiene kits were distributed among 5000 families.
  • Disinfection spray at public places in Azad Kashmir, Rawalpindi, and South Punjab.

24/7 health services in Azad Kashmir and South Punjab through RAHMA hospitals.
